The opening took place yesterday, at the new offices of PwC Argentina in Rosario.
Buenos Aires, October 6, 2011 - Yesterday, PwC Argentina opened up the doors of its new offices in the city of Rosario and officially introduced the Firm's first Agribusiness Center in Argentina.
The Agribusiness Center emerged in acknowledgment of the considerable technical development of the agricultural activity, and basically due to its insertion as a key player in international trade. The multi-disciplinary team of the Center, composed of professionals with specific academic training in the relevant matters, will make it possible to do research and follow up the major tendencies of the value chain in the agri-food industry, regarding issues such as bioenergy, cattle farming, dairy products, cereals and oilseeds, fertilizers and agrochemicals, machinery and farm equipment, and biotechnology applied to agriculture, among others, with the aim of offering solutions that are specific for this sector.
In opening its new Agribusiness Center, PwC Argentina chose the city of Rosario, since it is strategically located, among other aspects; it is situated at the core of the Central region, a key area for Argentina’s agroindustrial production.
“We take pride in announcing that we expanded our Rosario office and moved it to a new building, in connection with the opening of PwC Argentina's Agribusiness Center and as a result of the significant growth that we are experiencing in the export of tax services. With all these changes, our expectations are very positive; we project to maximize the growth of this industry within the region and nationwide, and to create new jobs”, Gustavo Barrichi, representative of PwC Argentina in the city of Rosario, said.
